Jenita McGowan

Jenita McGowan is the Sustainability Manager for Eaton Corporation, a power management company with a vision to improve the quality of life and the environment. Previously, she led sustainability efforts at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and served as Chief of Sustainability for the City of Cleveland.

Jenita serves on the boards of the Cleveland 2030 District, Urban Sustainability Directors Network, and the Ohio advisory board of the Trust for Public Land. She has undergraduate degrees in journalism and the performing arts and a masters in nonprofit management.

Prior to her career in sustainability, Jenita was a modern dance performer, choreographer and educator. She was a company member with several Northeast Ohio dance companies including The Repertory Project, Verb Ballets, Antaeus Dance and Dancing Wheels.
