Michele previously served on President Bill Clinton’s Transition Team, helping to staff the Cabinet Secretary and Deputy Secretary positions for the State Department, Department of Education and GSA. She was then appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve as Director of the Federal Quality Institute, working for Vice President Al Gore in the Reinventing Government initiative.

Prior to her government work, Michele served nine years on the executive leadership team of Herman Miller, a Fortune 500 global office Furniture company, as Corporate Vice President For People. She was responsible for global human resource management, communications, leadership and organizational development, and total quality management. In this role she facilitated Herman Miller’s whole company transformation processes which resulted in the company earning Fortune’s Most Admired Company, one of Fortune’s Best Company in America to work for, Best Company for Women, Best Products by Businessweek and the Most Environmentally Responsible company.
Michele serves on the board of directors of One Earth and the Detroit Windsor Dance Academy , and the advisory boards of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent for World Benefit, at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and the David Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry at the Stiller School of Business at Champlain College.
